Sidi Wire Katusha Team Limited Edition Road Shoes

Sidi Sport is pleased to introduce the new model Wire Carbon Katusha Team Limited Edition. This shoe is a faithful reproduction of the same model being worn by Alexander Kristoff, Purito Rodriguez, Ilnur Zakarin and their team mates in the 2016 season, and now it will be available to everyone at all the finest cycling shops starting in May.

The Sidi Wire shoe dedicated to Team Katusha is a masterpiece of technology and design, part of a wide collection of limited edition models throughout the years, which Sidi has dedicated to the best teams, to their great champions and their unforgettable victories. The Wire model is light and highly performing, so in 2016 it is sure to be the top model in the Sidi Sport collection for road cycling.

This new partnership, which decks out all the riders on Team Katusha with Sidi Sport shoes, is bringing immense satisfaction to the company from Maser; up to now the World Tour team has garnered 10 successes on roads the world over, from Europe to the Middle East. Now the team’s top riders will be called on to shine in the major tours of 2016, starting with the Giro d’Italia, which kicks off on May 6th from Holland, where Team Katusha will presumably be led by the Russian Ilnur Zakarin.

As always, this limited edition comes with special packaging. In fact, this model comes in a fancy box with fantastic graphics in the Katusha colours. But the surprises don’t stop there. Inside the box there is a custom shoe bag in the team colours, featuring the names of all the riders on the 2016 roster, plus a pair of Katusha Team socks and a picture of the team. The Sidi Wire Carbon Katusha Team Limited Edition is sure to become a collectors’ item for all enthusiasts and fans who love everything about cycling.

Thanks to the three-point wire closure and an adjustable heel retention system on the shoe, the Sidi Wire Vent embraces your foot, holding it securely. Moreover, they feature a great ventilation system: the Wire Vent has an integrated vent and air channels to allow airflow and to dissipate heat, keeping your feet cool. And what if cold comes? No problem, you can close the vents on the sole in order to block the wind and avoid you suffering from temperature drop. Besides, in wet conditions the vent acts as a water drain which is perfect for triathlon use.
The Sidi Wire Vent feature a sole made of braided carbon fiber oriented at opposing directions that optimize stiffness while allowing a slight controlled flexion in the toe area. This design allows stress relief on the plantar tendon and promotes circulation. The Sidi Wire Vent Edition features a padded tongue and a super light weight for a total comfort.

Technologies:

• SOFT INSTEP 3
  The anatomical and comfortable strap, placed on the top of the foot and coupled with a soft and thermo-formed material, will increase comfort and performance. It distributes pressure evenly over the arch area, adjustable from both sides to achieve the perfect center position. The system eliminates the need for the High Instep Extender. The Soft Instep 3 is serviceable and replaceable.
• TECNO-3 SYSTEM
  SIDI’s new Techno-3 dials in fit along the entire length of the shoe, adapting the upper to the shape of the foot for a customized fit. SIDI’s famously reliable and replaceable closures are improved by an all new proprietary SIDI Wire material that is completely non-binding for intuitive and effortless on-the-fly adjustments. Like most SIDI small parts, the Tecno-3 Buckle is serviceable and replaceable.
• ADJUSTABLE HEEL RETENTION DEVICE
  The adjustable heel retention device reinforces the top of the heel cup and improves the fit by closing the back of the shoe securely around the rider’s ankle. The heel retention device tightens the top of the heel cup so that it doesn’t side-out during steep climbs or sprints. It can be adjusted with two small screws that work independently from each other. For a custom adjustment turn the screw towards the + sign to tighten the heel retention device and towards the – sign to open it.
• SIDI HEEL CUP
  The reinforced heel keeps the foot in a optimal position and avoids the shoe being deformed by extreme performance or prolonged pressure.
• REPLACEABLE HEEL PAD
  For walkability, Sidi cycling shoes include a replaceable polyurethane heel pad.
